Kapilavastu. A large health camp has been completed at Mahavan Buddhist Vihar (Madhuvan Dham) located in Ward No. 8 of Banganga Municipality. A free health check-up was conducted with the participation of expert doctors from Thailand and Devdah Medical College Rupandehi.
The camp, which started at 9:00 in the morning, was crowded till 6:00 in the evening, more than 500 people had benefited from the health check-up.
Senior health officer including nose, throat specialist from Thailand The officers, Senior Cardiologist Ajay Adhikari of Devdah Medical College, Medical Officer Bishnu Bhurtel, Nursing Doctor Barsha Dawadi and others were happy when they examined the health of the common people about heart, nose, ear, throat, joints and other diseases. Doctors from Motipur health post were also helping Shivar.
Similarly, Thai doctors have also provided quality medicine free of charge on the advice of doctors.
The general public thanked Sumangalo Bante, the head of Vaudh Vihar, for getting important advice and advice from a foreign expert doctor. They hoped that Vimar would be cured as they had received medicine from a foreign doctor for the first time. Doctors from Thailand distributed the medicine brought from there.
Bante said that he was excited by this camp and said that such camps will continue in the future. He said, ‘The common people are very happy. They preferred foreign doctors and local medicine. Nowadays health awareness has increased. We will also hold different camps by bringing doctors from other countries. I want to thank everyone very much.
On the same day, an interaction program was also held with the participation of more than 70 Buddhists, monks, scholars, worshipers and worshipers who came under the leadership of Thailand’s senior Buddhist scholar Mr. Achan Sujin Boriharnwanakel.
Buddhism and Buddhist education were discussed in the dialogue. Intellectuals, students and teachers of this area participated in the discussion. He said that 4 laptops were also distributed to the school on the same occasion. He requested to use the laptop for teaching and learning
Madhuvana Dham is the holy place where Gautama Buddha gave the Mahasamaya Sutra to Sakya and Koliya Kumaras, monks and deities. The head of Van Vihara said that the work is currently being done to develop this place as a place for Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world.
